Gel Boards

Macaroni Made

By Christine LaGrosse September 26, 2013
I saw this awesome idea on Pinterest and it inspired me to try my own take on it! My kids love it and it was so easy and fun to make!

Supplies:
Hair gel (cheap stuff from the a dollar store)
Glitter
Duct tape
Cardboard
Clear plastic bag

Step 1: Measure approximately 5-6 ounces of hair gel and mix in as much glitter as you want!

Step 2: Pour mixture into a clear food storage bag and get as much air out as possible and seal bag.

Step 3: Measure piece of cardboard and cut (carefully) to fit bag on top.

Step 4: Measure a piece of contact paper and adhere it to the back of the cardboard. (This step is only necessary if you want to make the opposite side of your gel board a dry erase board.)

Step 5: Affix the bag to the cardboard with duct tape.

**This gel board can be used for practicing number, letters, shapes or just for fun drawing!  I used gallon-sized bags for this, but I may make smaller ones from sandwich bags too!
