Perched beside Lake Mendsen in Martin Luther King Jr. Park, the Winter Park Library & Events Center opened in late 2021 and quickly became a cultural gem in Central Florida. The 35,000 sq ft library is part of a multi-structure civic campus that includes an event pavilion, rooftop terrace, and meeting spaces—designed to serve as a community-first gathering place.

A dynamic Imagination Room, flexible classrooms, a Memory Lab, and maker spaces for art, STEAM, and creative exploration.

Events and programs for all ages, ranging from storytime for toddlers to coding workshops, local heritage exhibitions, author talks, and teen advisory groups.

A nonprofit-supported structure with a mission to “Connect people to knowledge and resources to amplify learning and build a stronger community.”

As one of two libraries in Florida with a Family Place Library designation, it offers a family-friendly environment that deeply supports early literacy, caregiver education, and collaborative learning.

Whether you’re stopping in for a public class, borrowing instrument kits or tools, joining a tech workshop, or just finding a cozy spot to read, the Winter Park Library blends modern education, civic life, and design in a welcoming space.
